Call in the militant wing of the Salvation Army

The Kansas City chapter of the Salvation Army is about $1.4 million short of the holiday fundraising goal.

Could the fact that the Salvation Army is in dire straights (not the band) this time of year have anything due to do with the Healthcare Foundation denying fundraising requests because the charitable organization refuses to ring it's bell for the ghey community?

Who knows but I guess it's important to note that we live in a town where a great many people believe that the common good has more to do with ensuring that ghey folks get first class treatment rather supporting a group that helps the truly needy.

The Salvation Army is full of pious pricks. They not only hate, gays but also hate single moms and fathers. Many of their shelters will not let fathers stay. So you have a family check in and the dad has to sleep out on the sidewalk.

During the middle of last winter I had a client, a 19 year old girl that was 8 months pregnant. They would only let her in the shelter from 5pm until 8am. They have a rule that people can't stay in the shelter during the day. Don't matter that you are 8 months pregnant, no where to go and its 20 degrees outside.

Plus they all wear that dumbass military uniform and ACTUALLY call each other by rank like colonial and shit like that.

So if the person above has a better way maybe they should go out and spend their time taking care of the people that the Salvation Army does not include. It is always interesting to me that when someone decides to take care of homeless persons from 4 to 8 some negative anonymous will talk about what is not done. The real concern is how much was spent on new Plasma T.V.'s I'll bet that there wasn't any decrease in the amount we spet on ourselves this Holiday. Negative anonymous above--If you want to have pregant women taken care of during the day open your apartment and invite them to stay with you rather than throwing rocks at an organization who already takes care of them for 16 hours a day. Or get more negative, by doing nothing but griping in negative terms.

How is the Salvation Army doing with their Harbor Light project in KCK, the one being built by JE Dunn that the costs kept running up on?
