Dog Killing Kids in Court
Here's the thing, they're rich kids from Overland Park who have parents that can afford a decent lawyer to plea the thing down. Despite letters from PETA and a bit of dramatic TV coverage, they'll probably beat the case . . . Animal cruelty is yet another instance in which only poor people have the book thrown at them.

The two teenagers Jennings said killed her Boston Terriers Stella and Bella were not in court today. But their lawyer was asking for a continuance.
(Figures, doesn't it?)
Jennings said the teens got mad at her and put the dogs in her car in the 90 degree heat.
(They thought of killing as payback? That's scary! Shows how they deal with their own anger...)
"... she said they are trying to work out some sort of agreement with the district attorney..."
(The teens should have to make their own deal!)
"I want them to know when you make a poor choice there are consequences to your actions," Jennings said.
(AMEN to this!)

Allison: We are behind you every step. What you said about choices and consequences is the very crux of this case. I'd like to see them do weekend time - 8 hours each Sat and Sun on city trash patrol. Or- work in the homeless shelter on Sat & Sun helping them. Or- help the elderly with chores around their homes.
Or better yet, they might have their freedom restricted for 6 months - every Friday night to Sunday night, they have to spend in a lock-down facility.
An agreement that DOES NOT PUNISH -- DOES NOT RESTRICT THEIR FREEDOM --WILL NOT BE SATISFACTORY.
