A corporate relocation near Kansas City

A great "slice of life" post regarding adventures in home buying. I think the process is actually quite fascinating in the way that it makes paying rent seem like such a simple thing.

I was a homeowner for years. Sold that shit and now I rent.

I love it!

Something is broke, I pick up the phone and say "YOU BETTER GET YOUR ASS OVER HERE REPLACE THAT BURNED OUT LIGHTBULB OR YOU AIN'T GETTIN' NO RENT CHECK THIS MONTH, BITCH!"

Seriously, I miss the tax advantages, but the weight off my shoulders of knowing all I have to do is make a phone call to my VERY RESPONSIVE AND WONDERFUL LANDLORD and she will promptly come out and take care of problems is huge.

I keep an eye on things and only bug her about stuff I can't (or shouldn't have to) fix. She's a doll.

She loves me, the neighbors love me, and she has promised to not ever sell the place as long as I am living here.

Which tells me she must be making a bundle off me. LOL!
