Chris Moreno's campaign is picking up steam in a big way. Above is an interview I did with him during the summer.
In his final push before the big day, he's getting a huge hand from this town's most powerful Democrats.
Cleaver, Jay Nixon and Mike Sanders are all turning out to his next fundraiser. And while I have my problems with all of these people, as far as local Dems are concerned this is a big move to "rally the base" - Not a sexual term.
Anyway, I hope Chris wins this one and I have a lot more faith in him than any of the big names who are showing up to lend him support.

ReplyDeleteWhile Chris Moreno does have some strong political allies in the teflon Reverand and his ilk I thought it might be interesting to know a little about the candidate.
Chris called me about a post on another blog. Chris called me about a blog I had posted. he is a well schooled, well funded political hack. Seems those few years at CMSU did him some good studying to be a politician.
He claims to be from a military family... That means his daddy served. Heck my grandpa was in the Navy in WW1 does that make me a vet.
He works for a cell phone store... There's a resume! So where did this guy come from... HMMM.
Well, my daughter came to my house tonight telling me about how all her friends are laughing at the prospect of his candidacy.. You see he was the class clown. Yep he was even considered a bit of a perv. Couldn't get the seniors to notice him so he hit on the freshman.
There is even a story about him in the women's bathroom... But we won't go there.
Funny to hear the girls talk about him... Oddly enough some of them share his political affiliation.
"Never ran for anything" Not even class president. Seems Chris Moreno is a bit of a nobody til now!
Guess with a bit of money from George Soros and the Hollywood left anyone can make a name for themselves.

Chris is an old friend of mine from those high school days, and the characterization of him as a 'perv' couldn't be further from the truth. Why is it Republicans feel like lying about someone's personal life is still the best way to win an election...it obviously worked well for Mark Foley. I'm willing to admit that was a cheap shot and that it has nothing to do with Chris' opponent. I'll be voting for Chris because I know he'll take the job seriously and I agree with his views on where the city and state need to go.
