Movie review: Why the Midwest shouldn't care about Terrorism

If there is one benefit to living in the fly over of this nation it's that I can rightfully care less about the terrorist threat to Kansas City. Face it, we have a hard enough time attracting tourists here at all . . . Osama's crew might actually be welcomed considering the fact that they would possibly stay longer than the folks from JoCo who only visit to KC in order to buy drugs, attain casual sex hookups and speculate on real estate backed by TIF money.

Like everyone else obsessed with the news. I went to see World Trade Center over the weekend. I think that my schweetie liked the movie because she was dramatically impacted by the events of 9/11 whereas on that day I was pleased that I could sneak out of getting my sister a birthday present.

Local blogger Dan writes up a really remarkable review of the film. I don't have Dan's insight but I'd like to submit a few tag lines that I hope capture the spirit of the movie:

"Watch Nick Cage's career implode"

"We didn't deserve to be attacked until this movie"

"Oliver Stone is all about conspiracy theories unless the Tall Israelis are involved"

"Just in case you forgot why tens of thousands of innocent Iraqi civilians had to die"

"This movie cost about 300 billion to make"

"Watch mustachioed men get pinned underneath something without all the guilt and inner turmoil created by viewing ghey porn"

"Remember the day when you had to start hating people other than Blacks"

"The exact moment you should have started buying Haliburton stock"

"Turns out blood is actually a lot cheaper than oil"

"Eventually, this is gonna get blamed on the filthy, sneaky Mexicans"
