Hey there Tony. No shait, these fools aren't going to stop it so they might as well take what they can get. I am sick of seeing "No Intermodal" signs everywhere.
Overall I think it would be good for Gardner. My main concearn is noise. I think some of the others are scared of...as you say....brown people
Being located upwind of the metro area, all those trucks will likely push K.C. into the ranks of the more heavily polluted cities in the USA -- and that will cost us more than the chimerical economic benefits of that intermodal thing.
The reason they don't build it out in the countryside? MARC. Simple as that. Gotta have that MARC for funneling pork!!
