Will good PR help KC get its shit together?

Four public relations firms are charging the city of Kansas City, Missouri, $2 million to highlight sewer and stormwater projects.

Bottomline Communications (no homo) points out that these are all minority owned firms which may start some shit among people concerned about the exorbitant cost of the campaign for the prospect of the bitches and darkies getting ahead . . . But that is beside the point.

From Emmanuel Cleaver to Mayor Kay this city's leadership has consistently proven itself more adept in running great press conferences rather than actually getting anything tangible accomplished. PR is great and it's where hot, educated, loose women reside but it's no substitute for actually fixing this town's sewers rather than endlessly hyping every small victory this town achieves.
