Dave Chapelle has a great bit about groups of Black guys who have one white friend and how that guy is usually the most dangerous person in the bunch. A recent horrible crime in (somewhat) nearby Marshall, Missouri proves that he might have been correct.
Recently, a lily white 16-year-old was charged as adult in a Marshall couple's deaths that included a break-in, robbery, beating and then setting the couple on fire in their bed.
However, now that the racial component is (somewhat) taken out of the case I wonder what they're going to blame the tragedy on now. Video games? Hip-hop? Obviously, there has to be a scapegoat other than the young men and their parents.

ReplyDeleteTony are you that naive? The story will now be, that this church going, god fearing, straight A white kid, got mixed up with the bad black kids. The ones who listened to hip hop. Then they corrupted him and turned him evil.
