Local Latina Talks Back

Last night's Talkback Live with Steve Rose was pretty captivating. Community activist Rita Valenciano answered questions about immigration, discrimination and education from a Latina perspective and did a pretty amazing job.

I'm a loyal Talkback viewer and what I liked most about this program is that Rose didn't let Valenciano off the hook because she is an adorable, short Hispanic woman. There was lively exchange of opinion and the callers were hilarious and mostly pissed off at Mexicans.

The program is broadcast again at 10 a.m. on Sunday in case you missed it and somehow manage to wake up early from being hung over.

If you'll allow me a completely biased opinion (as usual), I thought the lady was captivating and provided a fantastic representation of the Latino Community in Kansas City.
