Is this the beginning of light rail in KC without annoying ass Chastain?
The KC Biz Journal reports that Gov. Matt Blunt signed a bill Wednesday that authorizes six Missouri counties to proceed with plans for a regional transit system. The bill authorizes the creation of a commission to plan and identify beneficial regional transit programs, which could include rapid bus lines or light rail service. Makes sense, I guess even though I'll be retired by the time they break ground. Also, I don't see them mentioning anything about JoCo but that figures because those people will hop a real train to Utah before they give a dime to help this town's minorities earn a buck without a wallet busting commute.
Final thought: Strange that after all these years, Chastain was probably proven right because gas prices aren't going down, the war in Iraq is pretty much lost and the local bus lines are only useful to white hipsters on vacation. Still, the dude is annoying as all hell even if he has a point. Very much like a beautiful woman with an education or a one-armed juggler.

Won't heppen here. Your girl Kay came to my place of work on her "pimp the renovations and rolling roof tour". I hit her up with the mass transit question, and she came at with some kind of electromagnetic buss/trolley that can also run on gas to make stops outside of it's routes....does it sound stupid to you too?
Even my lower middle class suburban ass wants a damn train based on all the those stupid "truck nuts" all the red necks have on their Silverados alone. Those things make me want to kill people. Shit, plus I say a prayer every time I drive over the Paseo.
If Clay Chastain TRULY wants KC to get a light rail system, the best thing he could do to help would be to keep the fuck away.
Don't come back.
Don't resume trolling for potential date material at grocery stores with your "petitions".
Don't give any interviews.
Don't comment.
Because everyone in KC knows, that if Clay Chastain is involved in something and it actually passes...we will never, ever be rid of the sumbitch.
He's like the guy on the street asking for spare change or a cigarette. You don't dare give it to him (even if you want to) because you know the next time he sees you he's going to ask again. And again. And again.
Personally, I'd LOVE a metro-wide light rail system. It would be great to be able to get on a train in Liberty, be downtown in 15 minutes, not pay for parking and not arrive at work hoarse from yelling at all of the fucking idiots won't hang up their fucking cell phones and pay attention to what they are doing.
That would be GREAT!
But not if I have to put up with Clay Chastain's annoying ass coming back again, and again, and again with some other idea pursuing his Quixotic goal of someday being Mayor of KC.
I'd rather appoint Kay Barnes Queen of Kansas City and eliminate any possibility of some "democratic malfunction" that would find Crazy Clay in charge of things.
