Giving you the business

Links from the Biz Journal:

- It's not exactly the Falun Gong Show: China's U.S. ambassador speaks at Cerner where the only human rights violation is that employees are forced to smile and nod when Jeanne Patterson speaks of her political ambitions.

- The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City will cut 109 jobs in cash and check-processing services mainly because nobody has any cash or money in a checking account anymore. Mayor Kay and the current Republican administration have taught us that we can live on credit cards forever. Hooray!

- Cargill Inc. plans to build a soybean processing facility in Kansas City. And while all fast food is pretty much made with meat flavoring and soybeans . . . You still probably won't be able to taste the freshness . . . Just the leftovers of employees who don't wash their hands.

- American Century launches three new funds while the rest of them sink. Still, this is good news seeing that the investment gurus stationed at KC's ugliest buildings are making enough money to afford a new dartboard.
