What every Catholic school kid should know

A priest doesn't deserve any more (probably less) trust than any other stranger you would meet. And, you might wanna keep one eye open when receiving communion. The local diocese isn't doing much to instill these lessons so you'll probably have to teach your kid on your own in much the same way you explain safer sex, the futility of married life and the tax free status of the Church.

Problem with these audits and all those cases cropping up is that the vast majority of them are very difficult to prove in a court of law.
I've heard no problems with the KCK Archdiocese regarding abuses and whatnot.
It's foolish to put a blanket conclusion on the entire Church than focus on those dioceses that need work.
A priest is still a public figure in the sense that he is out with the people alot of times.
If a priest is caught or is proven to be a problem, I think he ought to be transferred to a remote region or away from people. I believe that a priest is a priest for life. But, if he violates law, he needs to be punished (like any person).
This passage comes to mind: Give unto Caesar what is Caesar's and unto God what is God's.
