Marcus Leach Bounces Back

Special thanks to a tipster who sent me this intercepted e-mail. Seems that Marcus Leach will most likely keep his post as President and all of the controversy might have not changed a thing . . . Very much like a diploma from UMKC.

Still, it's good to know that Marcus might not be forced out:

Dear Marcus,

I have reviewed your February 22 request to be reinstated as the President of the Student Government Association. After careful consideration of the number of the number of signatures on the petitions to have you reinstated and the events that have transpired over the last two weeks, in accordance with the SGA's Superior Court Procedures, section 6.1, I have decided to set aside the decision of the Superior Court to deny your injunction request to remain in office. Therefore, effective immediately, I reinstate you as President of the SGA until the referendum takes place.

I would expect that you will continue to attend key meetings to represent the University and as such, you will continue to be paid until the referendum takes place and the issue is resolved.

I look forward to the important work you will continue to do on behalf of our students.

Sincerely,

Pat Long, Ed.D.

Acting Executive Vice Chancellor
