Black chamber opposes stadium tax

Does this man that Freedom Inc. has to return their checks?

Still, this is a fantastic move that for once puts the concerns of KC citizens ahead of business interests or Billionaire wish lists.

maybe there's some off chance that they are either a) allready employed or b)possess the basic mental functioning required to see how bad a deal the stadium tax is

Fact is, U.S. District Judge Gary Fenner has once declared Kansas City's affirmative action contracting program unconstitutional because it did not exclude big companies. So the black chamber is raising a real issue.

However, the Chamber is still stupid for having its office at the gateway to the 18th & Vine Entertainment District. I'm guessing that not even the White Chamber is stupid enough to put its offices in a prime storefront of Power & Light.

the black chamber is taking a bold and unprecedented stand, and for this they should be applauded. if you check the 8-day report of "Monetary Contributions made (Regardless of Amount)", Section C, for Save Our Stadiums at the Missouri Ethics Commission website, (www.moethics.mo.gov/Ethics/CampFinance/CampaignFinance.aspx), you will see that Freedom, Inc. has received a total of $50,000 from SOS. Why? To deliver the black vote, that's why. The black chamber is stepping up and saying NO. it has less to do with minority contracting and much more to do with making the correct ethical choice. it is inherently immoral and evil for the well-to-do to impose a tax for their entertainment on those that cannot afford it. but, then again, look at the caliber of people the SOS campaign has purchased as their pitchmen.

That makes since - exclude minority contracting firms that get big! Really underline the fact that if you work hard and get successful you won't qualify for MBE jobs so the only way to get the free ride is to do crappy work and not grow and not hire more minorities - ouch.
