Always cover your manhole

Suburban life must be so bland, boring and unbearable that kids in that part of town are doing anything in order to avoid it. Recently, Overland Park Public Works crews found a hideout that kids had been using in a storm drain near 133rd Street and Lamar Avenue.

This is certainly not a safe or sanitary habit but there a lot of activities for suburban youth in a storm drain. Here are just a few:

• Find Mommy's Meth Needle.


• Toxic Waste Bubble Bath


• Pretend you're Puerto Rican. Otherwise known as Graffiti for fun and no profit.


• Look for Dick Cheney's underground lair.


• Wait for a heavy rains and hope the current will take you far, far away from round the clock TV coverage storm coverage.
