Johnson County facility cited as one of the nation’s very best
All right, we get it already. JoCo is wonderful. All the women are white, have big boobs, blonde hair and flexible legs. There is endless prosperity and even the exploited Mexican workers throw a smile your way. Truly, Johnson County is the embodiment of all of the great things noted in the song, "Big Rock Candy Mountain." Thank you, Kansas City Johnson County Star for extolling the virtues of the community in which so many of your writers reside.

The JoCos are living in a la-la land. It strikes me as odd that the "liberal" staff at the Star would be so proud to live in and honor a place that was developed so that white people wouldn’t have to send their darling angles to school with unruly black kids! They are raping the lands with endless urban sprawl and living lavish lifestyles on the backs of poor Mexicans who build and clean their houses. It’s all very materialistic and ephemeral. Just like all those big breasted blonde ladies with fake-bake tans and bleached teeth – the ugliness will someday surface for us all to see.
Doesn't everyone try to find the best place for themselves as limited by their means? Most of the growth of Johnson County is not white flight – it is from people moving in from other states or from rural areas. The white flight may have happened in the ‘60’s but when people move to town now they have a checklist of what they are looking for in a new community - murder, lack of amenities, poor schools, decaying infrastructure and whiney bloggers rarely make the list. Diversity of both race and culture usually do make the list but they don’t trump safety and good schools. And as far as the “on the backs of poor Mexicans” comment – at least there is a job for them here. What did they have in Mexico? Those workers do make extreme sacrifices for their families by living and working here and sending money home - but that is the game – the Irish did it, the Germans did it, some Asians and Africans are doing it now. The only ones who were forced to be here were the slaves (and they weren't from Mexico) – everyone else has made a choice to try and make a better lives for themselves by working hard and working up. Try driving around JOCO sometime – you would be surprised at the diversity.
Different Anonymous still...what a load of horseshit. I am originally from JoCo and now live in KCMO. What parts are diverse, the area behind the counters at Wendy's? Thanks Tony for FINALLY saying that the Satr is actually the Kansas Star. I have lived around this area for 35 years and have never once seen any negative press in that rag about JoCo. Also, people move to JoCo from other cities because they are directed there by realors, who show them where "Our kind of people live," so say it with me: RED LINING. The two most irritating things about JoCo are 1) when the local media acts like it's so unique (see Plano, Tx., Anaheim, Ca., Wilmette, Il.) and not just a carbon copy of every other burb. 2) when we have to constantly have this place rammed down our throats...if I see one more Yael Aboukalah article about how "KC can learn something from Overland Park" I will crap myself. What do we learn, to ship everyone who makes less than $50,000 a year out of town? Another favorite Star columnist is Lewis D. who is still yet to call out JoCo while seeing racial boogeymen behind every tree in KCMO.
Safety and good schools are how liberal suburbanites live with themselves. The post two-up personifies what Tony says about Johnson Countians. The converse of that statement is obvious, if you choose not to live in Johnson County, you don't care about your kids. Thank you, poster, for proving Tony right again.
Yes - it would nearly be child abuse to put a child into the KCMO school district if you have the opportunity to send that child to any JOCO school. All of you urban hipsters just send your kids to Pemday, Barstow, Rockhurst, etc.....anyway.

Oh yeah I forgot to warn you - if you are going to drive around JOCO to check the diversity, maybe you should rent a nice new car. Our police are under strict orders to pull over anyone driving a vehicle older than a 2003 or that contains a person of color unless such person of color works at Sprint or for the KC Chiefs. Also, a new car with a screwdriver shoved in the starter does not qualify. Thanks for your consideration.
Let's see, so the Lee's Summit, Raytown, Park Hill, Plate County, North KC, and Liberty school districts all service parts of KCMO, but the choice must be KCMO schools or JoCo. True, you care about your kids and none of us do. Maybe someday you can buy them their own white robes and let them attend their first rally with you. Keep telling yourself that it's just the schools, nevermind that there are plenty of other alternatives and that the truly "bad part of town" in KC encompasses about 5 square miles. I love how KCMO gets constantly bashed, but the minute anyone says anything to you people, you suddenly get overly defensive, drop all pretenses, and show your true racist asses.
and I absolutely love how JoCos get upset at being all painted with the same brush, but everyone in KC is an urban hipster, a rich Pembroke type, or a gansta! Be sure not to let your white power tats slip into view while teeing off at the club. Achtung Baby!
Let's see, the Lee's Summit, Raytown, Park Hill, Platte County, North KC, and Liberty school districts and the areas they serve are basic copies of JOCO and other suburbs anyway.(see Plano, Tx., Anaheim, Ca., Wilmette, Il.) So the choice must be KCMO schools or JoCo. Is Zona Rosa any different than Town Center? I think not. Is Lee's Summit any different than Overland Park? I think not. True, I care about my kids and none of you do. Maybe someday you can buy your kids their own painted condems and let them attend their first First Friday with you. (Which I go to every first Friday by the way - slumming I know) I love how JOCO gets constantly bashed, but the minute anyone says anything to you people you all paint with the same brush and you suddenly get overly defensive, drop all pretenses, and show your true reverse racist asses. You want to see a truly "bad part of town" then go to 199th and Metcalf to the Stilwell Grocery and see true ganstas!
And by the way, your buttons are sooooo easy to push. That is how we really entertain ourselves.
As a casual, disinterested observer, I really think the JoCo boy's buttons are being pushed as I scroll up. Who responded to Tony daring to say something nasty about his homeland? I do, however, believe that whining on blog sites is as close to entertainment as anyone gets over there, so you get points for honesty.
