Waterfall

Right now rain is falling on the city. I can see steam rising up from the damp streets that my house overlooks. People rush to do their business with no time to appreciate the brief respite of summer’s scorching temperatures. Water pours from the sky as cars go by and the sound melds together in a gentle hum. A once dusty metropolis is now soaked. For the moment, the rain washes away all my opinions about the city. The gray buildings turn a darker charcoal as the water hits them. The clouds are doing their best to get this town clean.
