Dream a little dream

Local Dems are circulating this petition in order to keep a young Missouri honor student from being deported.

Now I could go on and on and say that this is a kid who is basically an American, grew up and achieved here and is now being unfairly kicked out of the country but I'm not good at pushing the sentimental. . . what I will write is that this country thrives on the cheap labor provided by this girl's parents. I don't see anybody in line to pay 10 bucks for hamburgers. Sure, American employers could pay a fair living wage and all of the cheap labor from Mexico wouldn't be necessary but as we know . . . life ain't fair and as long as there are a slew of people out there with the ability to keep fast food, produce and all other kinds of prices low then the "problem" is really just a bunch of people who don't like so many strange sounding darkies around.

So sign the petition or not, it doesn't really matter. Mexicans aren't going anywhere as long as there are people out there willing to save a buck. I have great faith, that in the end, people are only loyal to the way they make their money.
