Redevelopment plans for unused property next to Richard L. Berkley Riverfront Park cleared a legislative hurdle this week, the Port Authority of Kansas City announced Thursday.

If you don't count gambling addicts, homeless people or other shady characters I'm pretty sure that most of the property by the park could me called "unused."
